*To be removed, please reply with remove daytrading in subject line

Dear Trader,

Another bearish close on the stock market as we ended February more than 10% down!!

I am still waiting for another hard, spike down with heavy volume as a sign for temporary bottom, but sometimes things don't play out like you think and one must be ready for every scenario.

March should be an interesting month and I wish all of you a great trading month!

Futures Trading levels and Economic reports for Feb 27th

*To be removed, please reply with remove daytrading in subject line

Dear Trader,

What a short trading month this has been! Tomorrow is the last trading day of February 2009.

Market is still trading between 740 to 780 and mostly between 750-778.....that's a very narrow range to be trading at for the last week.

On one hand the bulls are scared that we have been hovering around the lows with out any major bounce....on the other side the bears are getting nervous as the market has not been able to break the lows yet.....

Either way it should get more interesting in the next few days as i suspect we will see a break of either 738 or 780.

Futures Trading levels and Economic reports for Feb. 26th

*To be removed, please reply with remove daytrading in subject line

Dear Trader,

Market tried to break higher and took out yesterdays high of 774.75 as well as the high from Feb. 20th of 778.75, yet failed on the last half an hour of trading.

My guess is that the next attempt at 780 can bring 810 pretty quick. However, failure and a break below 743-750 will make this market very nervous.

Dear Trader,

Nice little bounce after consecutive days of seeing red.

For this rally to be more than just a "dead cat bounce", we need to see it break the 778 and then the 800, otherwise the 739 level is still at risk.

Futures Trading levels and Economic reports for Feb. 24th

*To be removed, please reply with remove daytrading in subject line

Dear Trader,

We are at an interesting junction. Market has been dropping gradually towards the lows made back in November and today we can almost say it tested the lows today.

Some traders may look for a bounce of the potential "double bottom", while others will wait to see the market reaction. One thing is for sure the area of 727 to 739 is a very important area. We may see a strong bounce off these levels, we may see some panic selling if we break below Nov. lows or maybe even both, i.e a break below , followed by a strong bounce.

Who knows....We all wish we had that crystal ball.

Either way I expect increased volatility. Be wise with your money and trade management.

Futures Trading levels and Economic reports for Feb 23rd

*To be removed, please reply with remove daytrading in subject line

Dear Trader,

Negative week for stock indices BUT I still did not see the capitulation or a retest of Nov. lows, which suggests one of two:

Maybe the markets won't visit Nov. lows and there will NOT be a double bottom and the market is simply getting used to the new trading ranges OR we have one bigger spike down before we see any significant bounce.

740 MAJOR support, 840 MAJOR resistance and that leaves a lot of room in between.

Enjoy your weekend and have a great trading week.

Dear Trader,

Market is still hanging on its lows.....Tomorrow is FEB options expiration day.

Not sure which way will go, either a strong bounce to 810-820 or additional decline towards the 739 lows from November but I dont think it can just hover around these levels much longer.

Trade well!

Dear Trader,

Market broke the psychological 800 level and unless we see some sort of Govt. intervention I suspect we are heading towards the lows from Nov.

One thing for sure, the next few days of this short trading week WILL BE JUMPY as traders are nervous and many economic reports will come out over the next 3 days.

Trade well and make sure you know what your limits are!!

Futures Trading levels and Economic reports for Feb 13th

Dear Trader,

Volatile action today. Market was trying to test the 800 mark on the SP 500 but bounced sharply on news regarding the current housing situation and proposed plans by current administration to try and stop foreclosures.

I still think the medium term picture is bearish and that the market is trying to test Nov. lows but is being supported by different news, comments etc.

The main thing for most of you as day-traders is to realize that sharp fast moves like we seen in the last hour of trading today do and will happen and you must be prepared.

Dear Trader,

"Buy the rumor, sell the fact". Market was edging higher in previous sessions in anticipation of additional news regarding the stimulus package.

The lack of details sent the market down sharply and has now created a bearish technical picture.

Market is nervous and edgy and can swing quickly both ways. Make sure you have a stop placed and a full plan for each trade before you simply decide to buy or sell. Plan your trade, trade your plan!

Dear Trader,

CVhoppy action today as market awaits more details on stimulus package.

KEY level is 877. So far we have backed away from there a few times and I think that if we fail tyo break this and go below 850 we may see MUCH more downside. On the other hand a break above it opens the door for a larger rally.

Dear Trader,

Nice rally today (we somewhat "guessed" it yesterday based on the run up pre unemployment numbers). The gap we have from Jan. 18th at 869 is now closed.

What next? strong resistance at 876 needs to be cleared if this market will head higher.  850 support needs to be broken on the way down before any major move down can resume if at all.

have a great weekend and a successful trading week.
