We started the week exactly where we left off….High, erratic type of volatility. It started on the open Sunday night and did not stop all the way through the session.<\/div>\n
When markets move that fast, one way you may want to explore is trading very short term options rather than futures.<\/div>\n
Example: You think the SP500 ( ES or MES) are going down today. If you use futures and place a “normal stop” most chances today is that you would have gotten stopped out. A possible alternative to explore is to use the Monday expiration mini SP options. If you buy a put, your risk in that specific example is limited to premium + cost of trade.<\/div>\n

You will have MUCH better staying power and a chance to profit if you are correct.<\/div>\n

This is obviously a very simple, briefly explained example but our series 3 brokers will be happy to expand, answer questions and review the + and _ of diff. strategies.<\/div>\n
One last note about the options, at times activity on options can be used as another possible signal. Example, market is rallying but the closer to the money puts are actually gaining value? that is a sign that there is additional demand and possible pressure lower.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
