What’s moving markets this week?<\/h1>\n

The most salient measure of a recession may be the accumulated results of corporate profits or the lack of during this earnings season.\u00a0Q-2 earnings reports\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>are picking up steam, Monday we will see 20 with\u00a0a notable 19:1 split<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0for both Alphabet symbols.\u00a0GOOGL and GOOG<\/span><\/strong>. After market close we have\u00a0IBM<\/span><\/strong>. Before todays open we had mixed numbers relative to estimates with B of A\u00a0BAC<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0underperforming expectations and Goldman Sachs\u00a0GS\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>besting by 10% the pre report earnings estimates . Tuesday we’ll see 50 reports Wednesday 80, Thursday 81 and Friday only 30 with a MEME stock Gamestop\u00a0GME 3;1 split<\/span><\/strong>. Netflix\u00a0NFLX<\/span><\/strong> will be Tuesday’s big name reporting after the close with lower expectations of 2.90 per share , if the actual comes in much lower then the “streaming recession” will be in full force. Watchout below NQ and MNQ<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0Wednesday after the close Tesla\u00a0TSLA<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0reports along with Alcoa\u00a0AA\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>as additional thermostats for the state of our economy. Estimates are 1.91 and 2.88 per share respectively. Economic numbers<\/span><\/p>\n

Tuesday morning 7:30 CDT am US:\u00a0Housing starts and permits<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Wednesday 9:00am CDT\u00a0US: Existing Home Sales<\/span><\/strong>\u00a09:30 CDT am\u00a0US: EIA Petroleum Status<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0BOJ Rate announcement @ 9:30 PM CDT<\/span><\/p>\n

Thursday\u00a0EuroZone: ECB Rate announcement<\/span><\/strong>\u00a07:15 CDT\u00a0US: Jobless Claims<\/span><\/strong>\u00a07:30 CDT<\/span><\/p>\n

Friday a slew of EuroZone Retail sales and PMI numbers between 1 am CDT and 7:30 CDT with the\u00a0US:PMI flash\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>number due out at 8:45 CDT.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
