The first Friday of the month is coming up and with it the release of the Labor Department\u2019s\u00a0monthly Non-farm payrolls report, widely considered to be one of the most important and influential measures of the U.S. economy.\u00a0Likely its numbers will be looked at through the prism of the Federal Reserve\u2019s recent rate hikes to glean whether the economy will be capable of holding up against them.\u00a0Consumers seem to be holding their own, if recent durable goods, personal income and personal spending readings have anything to say (which they have).<\/div>\n

Even the current earnings cycle \u2013 including recent announcements \u2013 have yielded overall positive results, albeit often accompanied with negative forward guidance.\u00a0\u00a0The report is released at 7:30 A.M., Central Time.<\/div>\n
