This morning at 7:30 A.M., Central Time \/ 5:30 A.M., Pacific Time, the\u00a0Bureau of Labor Statistics released its Consumer Price Index Report,\u00a0which measures the prices paid by consumers for a basket of consumer goods and services.\u00a0 Instantly,\u00a0stock index futures experienced EXTREME volatility.\u00a0 The E-mini $5 Dow Jones futures contract (YMZ22<\/b>)<\/a> jumped \u00b1500 points (a \u00b1$2,600 per contract move) in less than 10 seconds. The E-mini S&P 500 futures contract (ESZ22<\/b>)<\/a> jumped \u00b1100 points (a \u00b1$5,000 per contract move) within that same short span of time.<\/p>\n
