Monthly Metals Update
December
- Overall Precious Metals products December ADV was up 42% YoY to 410,467 lots. Both Gold and Silver futures ADV grew by 54% and 28% YoY, respectively.
- Gold Weekly options liquidity continued to improve rapidly. December ADV increased by 410% YoY – 22 consecutive months of YoY growth.
- The Base Metals product suite December ADV increased by 74% YoY.
- Copper futures volumes continued to grow, up 72% YoY. December 2017 was the sixth highest monthly ADV on record for Copper futures at 118,000 lots.
