What Futures Traders Should Watch This Week

Summer officially ends Tuesday the 22^nd as the Autumnal Equinox falls on Wednesday the 23^rd. The U.S. House of Representatives are now in recess until after the November 3^rd. midterm elections.

All 435 federal House of Representatives seats and 35 of the 100 senators will be up for election on November 3 on this date.

At sundown on Sunday the 20^th to sundown Monday the 21st Yom Kippur will be observed through a 24 hour fast.

We’ll have everything needed to move the markets as we do expect increased volatility from Government data releases, 6 Fed member speeches, a smattering of earnings reports this, in addition to the lasting uncertainty in the Middle East.

Is the smoke intensifying in the Mid-East, Russia/Ukraine and the markets are continuing to react to a deepening sense of uncertainty?

The energy’s, metals, securities, grains and interest rates are swirling in the uncertainty from a lack of resolution in the attempted unwinding of the Iranian nuclear program.

Don’t let your guard down just yet, the fog continues, tune into the Sunday evening markets to witness reactions to the weekend news streams, manufactured or true.

December Dollar Index

The December Dollar Index broke out to the topside leaving behind a constructive ‘W’ bottom formation while activating upside PriceCount objectives. The first count projects a possible run to the 100.50 area. It takes a trade above the July reactionary high to formally negate the remaining unmet fourth downside count to the 96.60 area – not shown here for presentation purposes.
