Equity Index Futures: Volatility Friday?

Friday could bring increased volatility to the equity index futures markets as traders digest a series of Flash PMI reports from Europe early in the session, followed by U.S. Flash Manufacturing PMI, Flash Services PMI, and the University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment and Inflation Expectations data later in the morning.

E-Mini Nasdaq-100 (NQ)

After recently pulling back from its highs, the E-mini Nasdaq-100 (NQ) is testing key support areas and remains below its shorter-term moving averages. With momentum indicators approaching oversold territory, traders will be watching closely to see whether economic data sparks a relief bounce or confirms further weakness in the current trend. As always, be aware of scheduled news releases and adjust risk management accordingly.

December Live Cattle

December Live Cattle stabilized its break in late August and then activated upside PriceCount objectives on the recovery. We have shifted to using the larger first leg for projections. The first count projects a possible run to the 235.63 area.
