NFP Expectations

US July Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP) data will be released Friday morning at 7:30 am CT. Economists are forecasting non-farm payrolls +85,000 compared to June’s +57,000. The July jobless rate is expected at 4.3%. Average hourly earnings are expected up +0.3% month over month, up +3.5% year over year.

September Feeder Cattle

September Feeder Cattle satisfied the second downside PriceCount objective last month and are correcting lower. At this point, if the chart can resume its break with new sustained lows, the third count would project a possible slide to the 319.88 area. A trade below the December reactionary low would formally negate the remaining unmet upside counts.

The PriceCount study is a tool that can help to project the distance of a move in price. The counts are not intended to be an ‘exact’ science but rather offer a target area for the four objectives which are based off the first leg of a move with each subsequent count having a smaller percentage of being achieved.
