Diamonds:
DIAMONDS is an algorithm that was created while designing different trading systems. It is a proprietary algorithm that tries to measure exhaustion in selling or buying and possible chance of short term reversal.
The ALGO calculates recent highs/lows, consecutive highs/lows, RSI, volatility and then the formula outputs; a number that either meet certain criteria or not.
RED diamonds suggest possible short term top. GREEN or BLUE diamonds suggest possible short term bottoms.
The term “suggested” is used because like any other indicator or trading strategy, the future for the next few minutes or sometimes seconds cannot be predicted.
ILM:
ILM produces arrows on the charts that signal potential change in direction and momentum since ILM is based on moving average and a volatility system.

Big moves in the markets today as we anticipated yesterday. Crude oil up over $4 along with it’s products heating oil and unleaded gas.
Gold down another $15, bonds resumed the downward trend with close to two full points down and stocks showed the first sign of weakness in a few days….
The volatility in some of the markets encouraged me to remind you about the weekly options available for markets like mini SP, gold, Crude, Bonds and others.
While options have their advantages and disadvantages…when the markets are so volatile they present an alternative to trading with out the need to use stops that have higher chances of getting hit when markets move like they did today…..

In today’s blog, note about tomorrow’s full day of reports, changes to Russell contract size, reminder of current front months
Dear Traders,
Looking at the schedule for tomorrow – BIG day ahead.
We have OPEC, Crude Oil report, Beige book, ADP employment report, CPI and much more.
Check the calendar on section 3 of this blog. Set alarms. Know which reports affect the markets you trade so you don’t get caught in one of those moments where you yell ” What the heck just happened??”
Effective on trade date Monday, December 5th, ICE Futures US will change the contract size for mini Russell 2000:
Mini Russell 2000 used to be that one point was $100 or 1 tick was $10. As of next Monday, one point will be worth $50 and each tick will be $5.
Assigned Deliveries can be a very costly process to try and reverse…..make sure you are trading the correct months:
- Front month for Gold is February.
- Silver front month is March.
- Front month for most grains is March.
- Crude oil and Natural gas are January.

Hope everyone enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving holiday break and ready for a full trading week.
Effective on trade date Monday, December 5th, ICE Futures US will change the contract size in the following Russell products:
Bottom line for 95% of traders out there is:
Mini Russell 2000 used to be that one point was $100 or 1 tick was $10. As of next Monday, one point will be worth $50 and each tick will be $5.

- Front month for most grains is March.
