NFP Tomorrow amidst Volatility

nfp

Volatility across major commodity futures remains elevated as the situation in the Middle East continues to expand into a broader international crisis.

NFP

Up next, the Labor Department releases its monthly Non‑Farm Payrolls (NFP) report tomorrow at 7:30 A.M. Central Time—one of the most impactful economic releases for U.S. markets. Historically, this report can trigger sharp and fast price swings across equity, interest rate, energy, and metals futures.

What to do with upcoming NFP

Based on past experience (and these are strictly my personal opinions), here are a few reminders that may help you navigate the volatility:

Trading Considerations Ahead of Non Farm Payrolls (NFP)

  1. Reduce trading size. Volatility can amplify both gains and losses.
  2. Be highly selective. No trade is better than a forced or low‑quality setup.
  3. Choose entries wisely.
  4. Use longer‑timeframe support/resistance to guide entries.
  5. Consider “stretching the price bands” during high volatility.
  6. Example: If a trader planned to go long the mini S&P at 6825.00 with a stop at 6815.00, in a volatile environment they might instead look for an entry around 6810.00 with a stop placed slightly below—adjusted for volatility and key levels.
  7. Expect fast, erratic movement during and immediately after the announcement.
  8. Watch for low‑liquidity “vacuum behavior” (wide zig‑zags, thin volume) right before the number.
  9. Use automated brackets (stops and limits attached to your entry) as markets can accelerate quickly.
  10. Know the expectations and compare the actual number to the forecast—then observe the market’s reaction rather than guessing.
  11. Stay patient and disciplined. High‑impact releases reward preparation, not prediction.
  12. If in doubt, stay out. Preserving capital is also a trading decision.

Bloomberg Commodity Index

The Bloomberg Commodity Index is a weighted index of commodities from the grains, meats, energies, metals, and the softs sectors. The weekly chart broke out of tis extended range this fall and more recently corrected after satisfying the second upside PriceCount objective.

If the chart can break out and sustain new highs, the third count would project a move of about another 6% that would be consistent with a challenge of the 2022 high which represented peak inflation.

The run has been led by meats and metals, but now energies have joined the party and to a lesser extent, the grains. The low percentage fourth objective, not shown here for presentation purposes, is 176.

The PriceCount study is a tool that can help to project the distance of a move in price. The counts are not intended to be an ‘exact’ science but rather offer a target area for the four objectives which are based off the first leg of a move with each subsequent count having a smaller percentage of being achieved.

It is normal for the chart to react by correcting or consolidating at an objective and then either resuming its move or reversing trend. Best utilized in conjunction with other technical tools, PriceCounts offer one more way to analyze charts and help to manage your positions and risk.

Volatility in major commodity futures remained high as the crisis in the Mideast expanded into a wider international crisis today after NATO air defenses shot down an Iranian ballistic missile headed toward Turkey, the United States sank an Iranian navy ship in international waters, and several European nations deployed military assets to the region to protect their interests.

Stock index futures advanced today with the E-mini Nasdaq leading the way as U.S. futures markets appeared to set aside some of their fears over the Middle East conflict.

This week’s run-up in crude oil futures oil prices paused, with West Texas Intermediate turning slightly higher and stabilized around $75 a barrel in afternoon trading.

More General:

Private sector hiring was a bit better than expected in February. The payrolls processing firm ADP reported today that companies added a seasonally adjusted 63,000 workers during the month, an improvement from the downwardly revised 11,000 in January and better than the consensus estimate for 48,000.

The issue of breadth continued to be a problem for the labor market.

  1.        Education and health services added 58,000 jobs for the month, easily leading all sectors.

  2.        In second place, construction contributed 19,000.

  3.        Professional and business services saw a decline of 30,000 positions.

  4.        Manufacturing lost 5,000, continuing a months-long decline.

  5.        Trade, transportation and utilities were off 1,000.

  6.        Other than a gain of 11,000 in information services, there was little movement elsewhere.

In short, two industries offset stagnant growth across most other sectors.

Up next, the Labor Dept. releases its monthly non-farm payrolls report this Friday.

It’s widely considered to be one of the most important and influential measures of the U.S. economy. The report is released at 7:30 A.M., Central Time.

March Dollar Index

The March US Dollar Index has broken out above the February highs and activated upside PriceCount objectives while also negating the remaining unmet downside counts. The chart is completing its first objective to the 99.67 area. From here, the rally will have to contend with the fall highs but further strength would project a possible run to the second count in the 101.20 area.

 May Corn

May corn has satisfied its second upside PriceCount objective to the $4.48 area. It would be normal for the chart to get a reaction for this level in the form of a near term consolidation or corrective trade. From here, IF we can sustain further strength, the third count would project a possible run to the $4.58 area. A trade above the January reactionary high would formally negate the remaining unmet downside objectives.

Futures Trading Disclaimer:

Transactions in securities futures, commodity and index futures and options on futures carry a high degree of risk. The amount of initial margin is small relative to the value of the futures contract, meaning that transactions are heavily “leveraged”. A relatively small market movement will have a proportionately larger impact on the funds you have deposited or will have to deposit: this may work against you as well as for you.

You may sustain a total loss of initial margin funds and any additional funds deposited with the clearing firm to maintain your position. If the market moves against your position or margin levels are increased, you may be called upon to pay substantial additional funds on short notice to maintain your position.

If you fail to comply with a request for additional funds within the time prescribed, your position may be liquidated at a loss and you will be liable for any resulting deficit.

Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP)

nfp

The following is a crash course on the monthly NFP report (Non-Farm Payroll = Employment Situation) – usually NFP comes out on the first Friday of every month.

Due to the partial govt. shutdown, NFP will be out tomorrow morning at 7:30 AM central (was supposed to be released this past Friday same time)

  • When NFP is released the following markets, generally, tend to be affected by the most volatility.
  • Foreign Exchange (Forex) Market: A strong report often strengthens the USD, while a weak report causes it to fall.
  • Bond Market (Fixed Income): Stronger job growth can lead to higher interest rates (yields) as investors anticipate tighter Fed policy, driving bond prices down. Conversely, weak data often causes investors to move to safe-haven Treasury bonds, lifting prices.
  • Stock Market (Equities): Markets often react positively to strong growth, but a very strong report can sometimes hurt stocks if it suggests aggressive interest rate hikes. A weak report can cause declines, but it might also trigger a rally if the market expects the Fed to lower interest rates.
  • Commodity Market (Gold): Gold often reacts inversely to the USD and Treasury yields, acting as a safe haven during economic weakness.

US January Non-Farm Payrolls data will be released Wednesday morning at 7:30 am CT. Economists are forecasting non-farm payrolls +55,000 compared to December’s month’s +50,000. The January jobless rate is expected at 4.4%. Average hourly earnings are expected up +0.3% month over month, up +3.7% year over year.

The Non-Farm Payroll (NFP) report…

Officially called the Employment Situation — is one of the most important monthly U.S. economic indicators. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) releases it on the first Friday of each month (covering the prior month) at 8:30 a.m. ET. However, due to the partial U.S. Government shutdown, the BLS is releasing the report tomorrow, Feb. 11th

It gets its name from the establishment (payroll) survey, which tracks paid jobs outside of farming. The full report actually combines two separate surveys with different methodologies, strengths, and focuses.

The Two Core Surveys

f190657f 62fe 49cc 8bf8 e0871933e046

Main Components of the Report

1. Headline Nonfarm Payroll Employment Change (Establishment Survey)

  • The most-watched number: Net change in total nonfarm payroll jobs (e.g., +50,000 or -100,000).
  • Often broken out as:
  • Total nonfarm
  • Private nonfarm (excludes government)
  • Revisions to the prior 1–2 months are very common and can be large (tens or even hundreds of thousands).

2. Industry Sector Breakdown (Establishment Survey)

This is one of the most valuable parts. Table B-1 shows detailed job gains/losses by sector. Major categories include:

  • Goods-producing: Mining, Construction, Manufacturing
  • Service-providing: Retail Trade, Wholesale Trade, Transportation & Warehousing, Information, Financial Activities, Professional & Business Services, Education & Health Services (especially Health Care), Leisure & Hospitality (food services & drinking places are big), Other Services
  • Government (federal, state, local)

Markets watch which sectors are driving the total (e.g., health care and leisure/hospitality often add jobs steadily; manufacturing and retail can be volatile).

3. Wage and Hours Data (Establishment Survey)

  • Average Hourly Earnings (all private nonfarm employees) — month-over-month and year-over-year % change. This is a key inflation signal.
  • Average Weekly Hours worked (total private, manufacturing, etc.).
  • Overtime hours in manufacturing.

Strong wage growth can be hawkish for the Fed (potential rate hikes or delayed cuts).

4. Unemployment Rate and Labor Force Metrics (Household Survey)

  • Official Unemployment Rate (U-3): Unemployed as a percentage of the labor force.
  • Labor Force Participation Rate
  • Employment-Population Ratio
  • Broader measures (sometimes referenced): U-6 (includes underemployed and discouraged workers)
  • Demographic details (by age, sex, race/ethnicity)
  • Part-time for economic reasons, long-term unemployed, discouraged workers

5. Other Notable Elements

  • Annual benchmark revisions — released once a year (usually February/March data) — can revise the entire previous year significantly.
  • Birth-Death Model — statistical adjustment for new business formations and closures not yet captured in the sample.

Seasonal adjustment — all headline numbers are seasonally adjusted to remove predictable patterns (holidays, school cycles, weather, etc.).

Quick Summary of What Traders and Economists Focus on Most:

  1. Headline NFP (jobs added/lost)

  2. Unemployment rate

  3. Average hourly earnings (wage growth)

  4. Revisions to prior months

  5. Sector details (where the jobs are coming from)

March RBOB (Unleaded Gas)

March Unleaded Gasoline is poised for a challenge of last summer’s high. The original upside PriceCounts off the ‘Liberation Day’ low are still valid. At this point, new sustained highs would project a possible run to the third count to the 2.17 area.

Important Notices: The Week Ahead

By John Thorpe, Senior Broker

The Week Ahead: NFP amidst a possible government shutdown

We may come in Monday with a government shutdown for the second time in 4 months. Probabilities increased for a stalemate as of this writing, Friday noon eastern after the funding deals stall in the Senate per U.S. News.

It certainly looks like we’ll be seeing quite a bit of action in the markets next week shutdown or not. We have quite a few economic data points in addition to Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP) out the first Friday of every month.

Fed Speakers are back as well. Re: the Fed, of note, in a surprise move, the market was expecting President Trump to appoint as the next Fed Chair a Dove to the seat, President Trump appointed Kevin Warsh, a Stanford Economist considered to be a hawk on inflation. March Wheat

The recovery rally in March Wheat is approaching the first upside PriceCount objective to the $5.47 area. It would be normal to get a reaction from this level in the form of a consolidation or corrective trade. IF the chart can sustain further upside, the second count would project a potential run to the $5.63 area.

Brokers Trading System of the Week

Abacus Upside ES Trading System

Market Sector: indices

Markets Traded:   ES- Mini SP500

System Type: Swing Trading

Risk per Trade: varies

System Description: An ES swing trading system currently traded by the developer who has 15+ years’ experience. All stock indexes trend upwards over the long term but with some significant daily declines and occasional longer bear markets. The system seeks to take advantage of this bias by actively entering on those days when the upside probability is increased whilst filtering out as many downward movements as possible.

The system logic has historically been very effective in achieving this outcome in both normal rising markets and by catching the frequent upward “bounce” days in more volatile periods. It trades long only and relatively frequently but generally only holds positions for 1-2 days. For greater diversity and smoother returns trade this system with: (1) Abacus Raider NQ; and/or (2) Abacus Momentum.

System Trades Disclosure:

System Description

“System Description” is based upon information obtained from specific system marketing documents, system developers and/or system vendors themselves. While the information is believed to be reliable, we cannot guarantee its completeness or accuracy.

Actual Monthly Performance

The table and charts represent the monthly/quarterly/annual summation of actual trades based on system-specified contract(s) executed through Striker Securities, Inc. using the referenced trading system or system vendor for the stated time period. Commissions and monthly vendor fees are deducted from the tabulation. Results are based on 1 contract. If a client trades 2 contracts his gain or loss is twice as displayed (and so on). This table is presented for information purposes only and is not a solicitation for the referenced system or vendor.

The purpose of this information is for clients to compare their brokerage statements to what is displayed on Striker’s site. Striker as a matter of policy has no ownership with the referenced system or vendor or any other trading system or vendor.

Past trade history may not be indicative of future results. The results indicated here may or may not be typical of the performance of this system and, ALTHOUGH WE BELIEVE THIS INFORMATION TO BE ACCURATE, CANNON TRADING COMPANY MAKES NO ENDORSEMENT OF THIS OR ANY SYSTEM NOR WARRANTS ITS PERFORMANCE.

This is not the only trading system that Striker executes for its clients. Potential traders should carefully investigate, evaluate and compare trading systems before investing capital. Some or all trading systems may involve an inappropriate level of risk for potential traders. It is the nature of commodity trading that where there is the opportunity for profit, there is also the risk of loss.

Thus, all prior third-party materials provided are superseded by the information and disclosures provided by CANNON TRADING COMPANY.

Important Information About this Trading System Analysis

Statistics, tables, charts and other information on trading system monthly performance are based on actual trading unless otherwise specified. Actual dollar and percentage gains/losses experienced by investors would depend on many factors not accounted for in these statistics, including, but not limited to, starting account balances, market behavior, developer fees, incidence of split fills and other variations in order execution, and the duration and extent of individual investor participation in the specified system.

While the information and statistics given are believed to be complete and accurate we cannot guarantee their completeness or accuracy as they results are key punched and subject to human error. Performance information is not the performance of a single account, but a compilation of several accounts over time, and is based on the physical trading ticket.

THIS INFORMATION IS PROVIDED FOR EDUCATIONAL/ INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND USED BY CURRENT CLIENTS TO AUDIT THEIR STATEMENTS TO STRIKER SITE. These results are not indicative of, and have no bearing on, any individual results that may be attained by the trading system in the future.

This trading system, like any other, may involve an inappropriate level of risk for prospective investors. THE RISK OF LOSS IN TRADING COMMODITY FUTURES AND OPTIONS CAN BE SUBSTANTIAL AND MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR ALL INVESTORS. Prior to purchasing or leasing a trading system from this or any other system vendor or investing in a trading system with a registered commodity trading representative, investors need to carefully consider whether such trading is suitable for them in light of their own specific financial condition.

In some cases, futures accounts are subject to substantial charges for commission, management, incentive or advisory fees. It may be necessary for accounts subject to these charges to make substantial trading profits to avoid depletion or exhaustion of their assets. In addition, one should carefully study the accompanying prospectus, account forms, disclosure documents and/or risk disclosure statements required by the CFTC or NFA, which are provided directly by the system vendor and/or CTA’s.

The information contained in this report is provided with the objective of “standardizing” trading systems measurements, and it is intended for educational /informational purposes only. All information is offered with the understanding that an investor considering purchasing or leasing a system must carry out his/her own research and due diligence in deciding whether to purchase or lease any trading system noted within or without this report.

This report does not constitute a solicitation to purchase or invest in any trading system which may be mentioned herein. CANNON TRADING COMPANY AND STRIKER SECURITES, INC. MAKES NO ENDORSEMENT OF THIS OR ANY OTHER TRADING SYSTEM NOR WARRANTS ITS PERFORMANCE. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION TO PURCHASE OR SUBSCRIBE TO ANY TRADING SYSTEM.

Important Notices: The Week Ahead

By John Thorpe, Senior Broker

NonFarm Payrolls (NFP), only 38 earnings reports, 3 Fed Speakers

nfp

NFP

There will still be a few Economic data points released through January that had been meant for December, including PPI the second week in January. CPI will be released the 2nd week as well. Of note for the data nerds out there, BLS says October CPI information was incomplete and therefor will never be included an any CPI data sets. NFP is up to date data.

The 38 earnings reports, of which I have highlighted a few below, are for quarters ending Nov. 30. The official earnings season typically begins after the 2nd week following the end of the quarter. For this cycle, the week of January 19th will be the Kickoff with Alcoa reporting after the close on the 22nd. The House and Senate reconvene in D.C. on Tuesday.

We’ll see you next week! Please enjoy a safe and memorable weekend.

Great article to start your trading in 2026:

Walk before you run – Your 2026 Trading resolution?

By Cannon Trading staff

The image of a successful futures trader is that of a lone wolf surveying the landscape looking for an opportunity to attack and seize quick and substantial profits. We all know about the potential for making a fortune in the futures markets. Yet, few do so. Why is that? What are some of the common pitfalls that prevent this dream from becoming a reality for most traders?

One of the most prevalent misconceptions for inexperienced traders is that they believe themselves to be smarter than the rest of the market participants. They under estimate the qualifications and abilities of the rest of the futures markets professionals. This business of trading is dominated by very dedicated, resourceful professionals who have invested lots of time and assets into their pursuit of trading profits. Competing against these seasoned professionals is not impossible but going it alone, especially initially, is usually not the most prudent course of action for new traders.

When we were children, we learned to walk before we learned to run. This is true for most of our life experiences. We played t-ball before we played baseball. We took lessons from Arthur Murray before we entered dance competitions. We watched cooking shows or read cookbooks before we attempted to deep fry our first turkey.

So, why do so many novice traders think that they should enter into the world of futures trading without the support of an experienced futures broker? Why, armed with their computers and quote systems do they think that they are equipped to go it alone and be successful? It isn’t logical. It goes counter to our collective life experiences.

If your goal is to trade independently, why not do so after acquiring valuable experience and insight by working with a seasoned professional broker? Someone who is already fully engaged in the futures markets. Why not begin by using a mentor, a teacher, an advisor who can supply ideas, guidelines, disciplines, and insights that the novice trader could not otherwise be exposed to? We all learned to drive with the help of an instructor, why not approach the futures markets in a similar fashion?

Your hard-earned capital is at stake. Getting an education can be a very expensive process, especially in the futures business. Why not take advantage of the help offered by an experienced professional? Help like this can shorten a new trader’s learning curve and reduce the cost of his or her tuition for this education.

It is true that not all brokers are quality teachers or mentors. The futures trader must choose his or her mentor carefully….just as one does when choosing a lawyer, doctor, or accountant. The brokers at Cannon Trading as a group are among the finest professionals that you will find anywhere in the futures trading world.

The management at Cannon Trading has chosen these brokers prudently and after much scrutiny. This is evidenced by the impressive record of professional business conduct for the past 20 years by Cannon’s brokers. This record can be reviewed by going to www.nfa.futures.org ( the National Futures Association) website and comparing Cannon Trading versus other futures brokerage firms. You will be impressed.

Professional athletes use sports psychologists. Boxers use corner men. Graduate students study under the guidance of their professors. Professional singers utilize vocal coaches. Shouldn’t you as a futures trader avail yourself of the same sort of support that successful people in all of these endeavors use? Take full advantage of all of the tools available to you in your quest for trading profits. Make 2009 your best trading year possible.

Look out for NFP next Friday!

IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE: TRADING COMMODITY FUTURES AND OPTIONS INVOLVE SUBSTANTIAL RISK OF LOSS. THE RECOMMENDATIONS CONTAINED IN THE LETTER IS OF OPINION AND DOES NOT GUARANTEE ANY PROFITS. THERE IS NOT AN ACTUAL ACCOUNT TRADING THESE RECOMMENDATIONS.  THESE ARE RISKY MARKETS AND ONLY RISK CAPITAL SHOULD BE USED. PAST PERFORMANCES ARE NOT NECESSARILY INDICATIVE OF FUTURE RESULTS.

In opening an account through CANNON TRADING COMPANY, Customer acknowledges and agrees that he/she will rely solely upon the information that CANNON TRADING COMPANYprovides to you. Thus, all prior third-party materials provided are superseded by the information and disclosures provided by CANNON TRADING COMPANY.\

Rollover Week

Following the quarterly ritual, it’s time to roll from the December to the March 2026 Index contract. There is a noticeable shift in volume from the Dec. to March. Avoid liquidity traps and begin trading the March 2026 index contracts. Trading the S & P 500? If you are using a CQG Product and your current Symbol is EPZ25 on your DOM, please replace that with the new symbol, EPH26.

All other trading platforms are ESZ5 or ESZ25, change to ESH6 or ESH26 depending on the symbology you are using. (MES for the micros across all platforms, need the march symbol as well)  NQ, MNQ, YM, MYM, RTY, M2K for the other main indices. You do not want to get caught in the cash settlement on Triple Witching Friday.

Economic Data reporting catching up but still behind.

NFP

Due to the recent government shutdown (ending November 12, 2025), many standard monthly reports (e.g., jobs, CPI, retail sales) for October and November had been delayed. Agencies like the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), and Census Bureau are still finalizing revised schedules. What we know: Tuesday @ 7:30 am CST 2 months (Oct.-Nov.) of Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP) will be released.

CPI

Thursday @ same time. 2 months (Oct.-Nov.) of Consumer Price Index (CPI) data will also be released. Expect violent price movements in the Indices, Metals, Currencies and perhaps energy markets as the reports will be released Pre-Market. Your positions should be managed well if you have open futures or short option positions.

I have included today, a file you have access to here about managing your risk using Stops, Options or both. If you are a serious trader I recommend downloading. You have plenty of time to create a plan as Monday’s session will allow you to implement your risk management plan.

As for earnings reports? Next week we will see the numbers for 53 stocks as Q3 earnings reports are winding down. Micron, Nike, Accenture and FEDEX top the list.

Expect continued volatility next week as the markets are sorting out the data morass.

January Heating Oil

January Heating Oil satisfied the upside PriceCount objective and corrected lower. Now, the chart has activated downside counts also. The first count projects a possible slide to the 2.01 area. It takes a trade below the May reactionary low to formally negate the remaining unmet upside objective.

Transactions in securities futures, commodity and index futures and options on futures carry a high degree of risk. The amount of initial margin is small relative to the value of the futures contract, meaning that transactions are heavily “leveraged”.

Non-Far Payroll (NFP) & Fed Speakers to Dominate the Week Ahead

nfp

NFP Friday and another heavy week of Fed speakers as well.

With the FOMC meeting Behind us, listen for more nuanced language, outside of the 3 cuts prior to years end, Chair Powell shared during after his rate cut speech last week, but we had surprise GDP number this week. You will be hearing from a slew of Fed Speakers posting up this week (schedule is below). This unit by themselves, will, no doubt be responsible for bringing additional spice to the marketplace.

As for earnings reports we are truly at the end of Q2 Reporting. We have but a few laggards reporting this week. If you are wondering, Q3 earnings begin Mid-October.

The on again off again nature of Tariff news has created golden opportunities for breakouts in some markets, rangebound trades in others.

Continued volatility to come as next week all markets will be reacting to whatever comes out of U.S. Govt leadership relating to conflicts cessation and trade deals, China, India, Canada and Russia (looks like the EU is following Trump on this one) The Crude Oil market certainly believes so. Also, remember that Mexico’s extension will end October 29.

We’ll see you next week! Please enjoy a safe and memorable weekend.

Dec. Dollar Index

The December dollar index activated upside PriceCounts on yesterday’s close as it attempts to shift its momentum higher once again. We previously attempted to rally with counts made off the July low but that effort failed without reaching the first objective and we negated those unmet counts.

Learn more at www.qtchartoftheday.com

Disclaimer The risk of trading can be substantial and each investor and/or trader must consider whether this is a suitable investment. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results.

IMPORTANT RISK DISCLOSURE

Futures trading is complex and carries the risk of substantial losses. It is not suitable for all investors. The ability to withstand losses and to adhere to a particular trading program in spite of trading losses are material points which can adversely affect investor returns.

The returns for trading systems listed throughout this website are hypothetical in that they represent returns in a model account. The model account rises or falls by the average single contract profit and loss achieved by clients trading actual money pursuant to the listed system’s trading signals on the appropriate dates (client fills), or if no actual client profit or loss available – by the hypothetical single contract profit and loss of trades generated by the system’s trading signals on that day in real time (real-time) less slippage, or if no real time profit or loss available – by the hypothetical single contract profit and loss of trades generated by running the system logic backwards on backadjusted data (backadjusted).

Please read carefully the CFTC required disclaimer regarding hypothetical results below. HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS HAVE MANY INHERENT LIMITATIONS, SOME OF WHICH ARE DESCRIBED BELOW.

NO REPRESENTATION IS BEING MADE THAT ANY ACCOUNT WILL OR IS LIKELY TO ACHIEVE PROFITS OR LOSSES SIMILAR TO THOSE SHOWN; IN FACT, THERE ARE FREQUENTLY SHARP DIFFERENCES BETWEEN HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS AND THE ACTUAL RESULTS SUBSEQUENTLY ACHIEVED BY ANY PARTICULAR TRADING PROGRAM.

ONE OF THE LIMITATIONS OF HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS IS THAT THEY ARE GENERALLY PREPARED WITH THE BENEFIT OF HINDSIGHT. IN ADDITION, HYPOTHETICAL TRADING DOES NOT INVOLVE FINANCIAL RISK, AND NO HYPOTHETICAL TRADING RECORD CAN COMPLETELY ACCOUNT FOR THE IMPACT OF FINANCIAL RISK OF ACTUAL TRADING.

FOR EXAMPLE, THE ABILITY TO WITHSTAND LOSSES OR TO ADHERE TO A PARTICULAR TRADING PROGRAM IN SPITE OF TRADING LOSSES ARE MATERIAL POINTS WHICH CAN ALSO ADVERSELY AFFECT ACTUAL TRADING RESULTS.

THERE ARE NUMEROUS OTHER FACTORS RELATED TO THE MARKETS IN GENERAL OR TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ANY SPECIFIC TRADING PROGRAM WHICH CANNOT BE FULLY ACCOUNTED FOR IN THE PREPARATION OF HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS AND ALL WHICH CAN ADVERSELY AFFECT ACTUAL TRADING RESULTS.

Please read full disclaimer HERE.
