1. CME Group raises data fees as well as transaction fees for stock index futures

Heads up, starting Feb 1st 2020:
CME has raised the fees for the monthly data as follows: each exchange is now $10 per month and the bundle is $30 per month for NON PRO full market depth( CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX). Keep in mind certain FCM's also charge a handling fee of $1 to $2 per exchange.
CME has KEPT the fees for the monthly data TOP of the BOOK at $1 per exchange or $3 for the bundle BUT will raise these prices in April 2020. CME has also raised the transaction/exchange fees as follows:
Per side exchange fees for the ES, YM, NQ, RTY, EMD and few others are going from $1.18 per side to $1.23 per side
Per side exchange fees for the MICROS MES, MNQ, MYM, MR2K REMAINS the SAME

Our brokers here at Cannon will be happy to assist, answer questions, look at possible alternatives ( perhaps markets like bonds with lower per side fees? perhaps using top of book data?) and much more! Feel free to contact us at any time.

6S futures;

This week’s highlighted Market is Swiss Franc. Swiss Franc is part of the currency sector along with "it's" brothers Japanese yen, Euro, British Pound, Mexican Peso, Aussie $, New Zealand $ and others. All traded on the CME exchange.

Investors fearful of geopolitical risk have made the Swiss franc their hideout spot.

But what do the technical indicators say? I use the 5-day and 21-day commodity channel index as part of my analysis. The March Swiss Franc is oversold and most likely made a short term swing low on Wednesday 1/29/2020. Look for a rally over the next week.

Swiss franc futures allow traders to assess value against the U.S. dollar. It is being the sixth most-traded currency in the world and it is well known for its low volatility. Be careful, these factors can work against you or in your favor.
Some of the basic fundamentals to keep in mind when you are considering a trade in the Euro Currency as well as other currencies:
1. When you are trading the Euro Currency or any other currency pair, you must be aware of Central Bank Risk, policy changes, Interest rate adjustments, Inflation expectations, prices of other commodities that may impact the health of a sovereign currency.
2. Dates and times of important reports for that specific country
3. Relationship with other currencies
4. Global Political situation
5. Growth reports, such as the GDP, manufacturing PMI, services PMI, and retail sales
6. Reports about the balance of payments, such as current account and trade balance reports
