2. Hot Market Report: Silver Futures Leading Volatility in the Metals Sector

Silver belongs to the "metals family": Gold, Silver, Copper, Platinum, Palladium. All traded on the COMEX exchange.
Silver futures had a nice rally last two weeks, which was terminated this morning.
Silver prices slid ± 60 cents – over 3% - mid-morning today erasing a week of gains and followed gold’s decline to lows it hasn’t seen since last December.
President Trump announced a 25% tarriff on $50 billion of Chinese goods today prompting China to announce an impending response.
Trade differences between the world’s two largest economies and these recent actions threaten a broader trade dispute also involving Canada and the European Union as they themselves have voted to impose
similar actions as countermeasures to recent U.S.-imposed tarriffs on metals.
