The June e-mini S&P stock index futures bulls are in overall near-term technical control as prices hover not far below the contract high scored late last year. Still, however, the bulls cannot seem to muster the energy to
push prices to a new high. In recent months, near-term price uptrends have stalled out at present levels. If stock index bulls can push prices above the stiff chart resistance at the highs, then a fresh leg up in prices
would be in the cards. See at the bottom of the chart that the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator has moved into a bearish posture, whereby the thick blue MACD line is below the thin red "trigger" line,
and both lines are now trending lower.
